Performing Arts and Film

Outdoor concerts, live dance performances, a jazz series, lectures, and films are just some of the exciting events the NCMA offers throughout the year.

This spring, the NCMA is excitedly preparing for facility improvements—including in the Joseph M. Bryan, Jr., Theater in the Museum Park. As a result we won’t be hosting outdoor concerts or films on campus in 2025 or 2026. Instead, stay tuned for a variety of music, dance, and theater experiences inspired by the People’s Collection hosted in our galleries and Park, as well as an outdoor movie series in downtown Raleigh.

Outdoor Concerts

Since 1997 the Joseph M. Bryan, Jr., Theater in the Museum Park has welcomed America’s finest singer-songwriters and critically acclaimed musical ensembles from around the world.

Film

The NCMA’s programming consists of classic and contemporary short and feature-length films across genres, countries, and languages.
