About Us

At the North Carolina Museum of Art, we embrace the transformative power of the arts. Belonging to the citizens of North Carolina, the People’s Collection presents more than 5,000 years of art and culture, sparking inquiry and imagination. Among the site-specific works located throughout the 164-acre Museum Park, art and nature meet, resulting in moments of discovery. Both are free to explore.

We invite you to learn more about our history, all that inspires us in the present, and the principles guiding our future.
