Hours
The North Carolina Museum of Art is closed Mondays, Tuesdays, and some holidays. Annual holiday closures include Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Easter.

Directions & Parking
The Museum is located minutes from downtown and RDU Airport along the Blue Ridge Road corridor that connects some of Raleigh’s premier arts, entertainment, and educational organizations, including the North Carolina State Fairgrounds, Lenovo Center, Carter-Finley Stadium, and more.
Visitor parking is free and available in the Blue Ridge lots, to the right after entering Museum Drive. Overflow parking is to the left, behind West Building. Public transportation to the NCMA is available via GoRaleigh bus route 27L Blue Ridge.

Accessibility
The Museum offers a variety of on-site accommodations for visitors with disabilities. Trained service animals such as guide dogs are also permitted in the Museum.

The Museum Store serves visitors at the West Building Main Store, East Building Exhibition Store, and Welcome Center in the Museum Park.

The NCMA Café is located in West Building and offers a fresh and flavorful dining experience with seasonal menus.

General Information
Admission to the People’s Collection in East and West buildings and the Museum Park is free.
There is a charge for some special exhibitions and programs such as concerts, films, classes, and performances. Admission is charged to visit West Building during the annual spring fundraiser Art in Bloom.
With a diverse menu of free tour experiences, the NCMA has something for all audiences! Whether you’d like to learn more about the People’s Collection, check out the latest special exhibition, or explore nature in the Museum Park, there is an option for you.
Please do not touch the works of art, as natural oils from hands and fingers can significantly damage these treasured objects. Please remain an arm’s length away from all objects.
Large packages, bags, briefcases, or other such objects are subject to search before entering the Museum and are prohibited in galleries. Store large items and bags in the lockers in either building. Suitcases and luggage are not allowed to be checked.
Strollers are welcome in the Museum and available to borrow if needed; however, their use may be restricted near fragile art or in busy galleries. Baby carriers must be worn on the front of the body.
Any object that may pose a hazard to artwork or visitors is prohibited. These objects include, but are not limited to, umbrellas, food and drink, backpacks, lasers, gum, and knives. No firearms are allowed on Museum property. Glitter, confetti, balloons, and smoke bombs are not permitted in the galleries or Museum Park.
Only service dogs and miniature horses are permitted in the Museum.

Museum Park
The 164-acre Ann and Jim Goodnight Museum Park features both permanent and temporary art installations, environmentally sustainable landscapes, colorful and contemporary gardens, 4.7 miles of recreational trails, and a terraced pond. The Park is free and open daily, including holidays, from dawn to dusk.
