Buskers Day

1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Overview

Get ready for a vibrant afternoon filled with live music, movement, and creativity around every corner. The centuries-old practice of busking, or performing in public spaces for gratuities, comes to our 164-acre Park.

Celebrate the timeless art of street performance with some of North Carolina’s most talented buskers, who bring rhythm, color, and joy to every path and plaza.

Interested in performing?

Buskers from across the state are welcome to perform for any duration between 1 and 5 pm throughout our 164-acre Park.

No registration/permit fee is required, and while the NCMA does not pay performers, they are welcome to put out collection baskets.

By performing at this event, buskers agree to the Museum’s terms that performances not include any hate speech or illicit content (must be family-friendly). The North Carolina Museum of Art reserves the right to review all content and to terminate a performance at any time.

We ask that buskers stay away from tall grass, look out for ant hills, not obstruct paths, and remain eight feet away from any artwork. Space is on a first-come, first-served basis during the event.
