Catering Works offers a wide variety of on-site food and beverage options and is committed to bringing you a great dining experience at the NCMA. Menus emphasize locally sourced ingredients and include unique dishes that are inspired by the latest exhibition and the People’s Collection. Fresh and delicious fare is offered at NCMA Café, and grab-and-go items are available at East Café. Vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary options are available.

 NCMA Café

The winter menu at NCMA Café takes its inspiration from Chef Rick Sloan’s exploration of the comfort foods of North Carolinians.  Starters include warm pimento cheese with cherry-shallot jam and roasted beet tartare for lighter but flavorful fare. The chef’s take on perloo, a traditional low-country rice dish, is brought to life with local catfish, shrimp, bacon, and heirloom rice from Oriental, NC. Don’t leave without digging into a slice of the two-tier carrot cake. Reservations are encouraged but not required. See full menu.
