Explore NCMA Learn, an educational resource from the North Carolina Museum of Art! This site is designed for educators, students, and anyone interested in looking at and learning from works of art.
Explore works of art that are relevant across subjects and grade levels. Use lesson plans designed by teachers to easily integrate art into your curriculum. Learn through rich multimedia resources such as video interviews with artists or quick tips to spark ideas. Discover learning opportunities at the NCMA.

Virtual Programs

Online Courses
Online courses for educators that highlight possibilities for integrating art across the curriculum are offered several times during the year. Courses are self-paced and based on the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.

Teacher Tuesdays
Educators enjoy exclusive free access to our special exhibitions in East Building on Teacher Tuesdays. These special events take place one to two times a year.

Professional Development for Your Organization
Let the Museum become your classroom for your next school or countywide teacher professional development day. Sessions include an overview of our teacher resources and programs and your choice from a menu of topics. Call (919) 664-6748 or email jill.taylor@dncr.nc.gov to schedule a session or inquire about the possibility of providing professional development at your school. Reservations must be made at least four weeks in advance and are based on availability.
