World Languages Pedagogy Workshop: Using Art and Objects to Teach World Languages

How does learning through objects connect us with the products, perspectives, and practices of cultures across the world that are taught about in North Carolina world language classrooms? This daylong workshop for world language teachers features facilitated gallery discussions as applicable to world languages pedagogy, small group discussions, and time to explore lesson ideas.

The NCMA, NC Department of Public Instruction, UNC–Chapel Hill, and Duke Area Studies Centers are partnering for this program.

Participants will earn 0.5 CEUs. The program is designed for K–16 world language educators. Lunch is provided.
