Virtual Studio Workshop: Finding Presence in Photography (Two-Part Class)

Sold Out

It’s easy to get caught up in the noise these days and let the beauty of everyday life pass by. Professional photographer Mick Schulte wants to help you “push pause” and seek the present moment by capturing beauty in the seemingly mundane and sometimes chaotic world around you.

In Part I of this workshop, on Thursday, March 24, Schulte guides you through some foundational photographic skills while you seek out moments of your life to freeze and reflect on with your camera. After the first session, you’ll have a week to explore with your lens and create a small portfolio to share in the second part of the workshop.

In Part 2, on Thursday, March 31, at 7 pm, participants share their images during an informal portfolio review to learn more tips and gain inspiration from each other. Any skill level is encouraged to join. The workshop is more about inspiring each other to create art and see the world from new perspectives than focusing on technical abilities.

For ages 16 and up. All types of cameras are welcome, including smartphones and nondigital cameras.
