About Kenny G
The sound of Kenny G’s saxophone is as iconic as his curly coif; indeed, both are instantly recognizable. The title of his latest release, New Standards, his 19th studio album, could well be used to describe his four-decade body of work, a vision of jazz that helped launch both a musical genre and radio format. After the critically acclaimed HBO documentary Listening to Kenny G—which humorously reconsiders the purist critical backlash to his music—it’s now cool to not only be Kenny G but to admit you’re a fan of his as well.
Please keep an eye out for our Know before You Go email, which will be sent a few weeks before the concert. Also feel free to reach out to Moses.T.AlexanderGreene@ncdcr.gov should you have any questions.
