End Paper: Ekphrastic Poetry in the Galleries with Jameela Dallis
Join writer-scholar Jameela F. Dallis to compose ekphrastic poems inspired by printed matter found throughout the collection. Ekphrasis means description in Greek, and these poems are often vivid descriptions of works of art. For ages 16 and up.
Through grounding exercises, guided reflections, and writing prompts, participants respond to artworks, encountering their own creativity through language. Discussion and sharing are encouraged.
