The Museum is open with updated hours, Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm. Following local ordinances, visitors are required to wear a mask inside all buildings, including restrooms and concession buildings, and at outdoor events. For some events participants ages 13 and up must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 NAAT or PCR test result; test results must be within 72 hours of the event. Check individual event pages to see if this applies; at this time it is not required for gallery, exhibition, tour, or Park visits. Learn more at ncartmuseum.org/covid19.

2021 American Dance Festival: Together We Dance

In reimagining a dance festival in a post–COVID-19 world, ADF brings outside eight performances by some of the finest dance companies dazzling audiences today. Audiences are able to spread out in the fresh air in the award-winning Joseph M. Bryan, Jr., Theater in the Museum Park. While smaller dance performances, including ADF activations, have been hosted inside the Museum galleries and in the Museum Park, a festival of this scale is new to the NCMA. We’re bringing together art, nature, and people through dance.

Presale tickets for ADF and NCMA:

  • Member tickets go on sale Wednesday, August 4.
  • Nonmember and general public tickets go on sale Thursday, August 5.

Following local ordinances, visitors are required to wear a mask inside all buildings, including restrooms and concession buildings. For the safety of everyone, we ask that all outdoor event attendees wear masks both outdoors and indoors.
