In the Moment
Cultural Activities for the Memory Community
In the Moment is a program series designed for those living with memory changes and their care partners. It inspires collective engagement with a wide breadth of topics, ranging from the arts to the diversity of life on Earth. Over the course of each 90-minute program, trained facilitators from institutions across NC delve into a theme related to their field, encouraging participants to take part in meaningful interactions and share their unique perspectives in a supportive, failure-free environment. Facilitators also learn from participants, utilizing their responses to inform future programs and better understand how the NCMA and its partners can best serve this important community.
While always hosted at the NCMA, In the Moment is coordinated and supported by multiple organizations within the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR), including the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, the North Carolina Museum of History, and the North Carolina Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
