Guided Tours

"Ask Me" roaming docents will be available to answer questions in the exhibition from 1 to 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays from October 12 through December 21.

School and youth groups: Tours for school and youth groups are available Tuesdays–Sundays at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 1 pm, and other times as available. Free tour and admission for K–college students in groups of 10–60. One adult chaperon per 10 students is admitted free; additional adults must buy exhibition tickets. Request at least four weeks in advance. Request a school or youth group tour. 

Adults: Private guided tours and experiences for adults are available Tuesdays–Sundays, depending upon availability. Adult guided tours and experiences are $50 for each group up 15 people. Request at least four weeks in advance. Request a tour or contact Janis Treiber to discuss customized experiences.

Parking

Visitor parking is free and available in the Blue Ridge lot, on the right after entering the Museum drive. Overflow parking is behind West Building, on the left after entering the Museum drive.

Visitor drop-off is located between West and East buildings and can be reached by turning left after entering the Museum drive and following the signs.

The Museum offers three dining options: Iris, a full-service restaurant, and Sip, a casual coffee bar, both in West Building; and the Art Deco Café in East Building, one floor down from the exhibition.

Iris is a sophisticated, full-service restaurant featuring contemporary American cuisine with regional and international flavors in a distinctly modern setting. Specializing in seasonal fare using many locally sourced ingredients, the Museum restaurant, led by chefs Andy and Jennifer Hicks, features culinary works of art that showcase a complex culture of flavors.

Museum Policies

Photography for personal use is permitted in the Rolling Sculpture exhibition; however, tripods and video cameras are prohibited. Share your photos on social media with the hashtag #NCMAcars.

Museum Store

The Exhibition Store, in East Building outside the exhibition gallery, sells the Rolling Sculpture exhibition catalogue along with related merchandise, books, and art deco–inspired pieces.

Open during exhibition hours.

Also visit the main Museum Store in West Building for a wide selection of art books, beautiful artist-crafted jewelry, and educational toys, books, art kits, and games. There are items for every budget and all occasions.
