This exhibition shines light on 14 emerging artists and the output that comes from their dedicated study of the art-making process.

The artists hail from across the state—Western Carolina University in the mountains and East Carolina University near the coast, Duke University’s MFA program in experimental and documentary arts and the studios of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Each student provides an artist statement that explains their work or gives viewers some insight into their thinking and methods.
