Free timed tickets for the Museum collection galleries encourage social distancing, and increased health and safety procedures are in place. Gilded faces and stunning portraits, fancy wrappings and colorful trappings were synonymous with hope for the afterlife and the continuation of millennia-old traditions in ancient Egypt. Join NCMA Egyptologist Caroline Rocheleau, director of research and curator of ancient art, as she discusses how funerary beliefs and customs blended at a time when Egypt was ruled by the Macedonian Greeks and the Romans.
