We’re excited to welcome visitors back to a new Museum experience starting this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, October 8 and 9. Learn more about the free opening weekend celebration and see a full schedule of events celebrating the People’s Collection, reimagined. On Saturday, we anticipate parking to be at capacity throughout the day and encourage carpooling and/or alternative modes of transportation.

Virtual Educator Workshop: Roots and Leaves Expressive Arts Workshop

Join us for an expressive arts self-care workshop connecting visual art making, gentle yoga stretches, guided meditation, and discussion to process our thoughts and feelings as we move through challenging times and look ahead to what keeps us rooted, growing, and healthy. This workshop will be led by Marla Hawkins, Wake County art teacher and NCMA teaching fellow.

Supplies and Materials

Participants should plan to have paper, pencils, and coloring materials they have easily available. If possible wear comfortable clothing and have space for movement; a mat is not essential but helpful.
