The Museum is open with updated hours, Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm. Free timed tickets for the Museum collection galleries encourage social distancing, and increased health and safety procedures are in place. Theater Workshop (Two days): Method Acting with Shakespearean Concepts

Participants are asked to bring chairs and/or blankets for sitting.

Taught by critically acclaimed actor Phillip Bernard Smith, this two-day workshop offers training to actors interested in improving their stage/film acting ability. Participants will be introduced to techniques to expand the voice, body, and mind to explore, develop, and create powerful, real, and emotionally rich characters for classical theater.

Participants will also gain skills in script analysis, character development, and scene study as well as learn how to achieve consistency of character, execution of action, and scenic truth with a deeper emotional commitment to the text.

North Carolina high school students and community actors are encouraged to register. Must be at least 15 years old to participate.
