The Science and Art of Painting Birds

In this day-long workshop, award-winning artist Patricia Savage guides students in the drybrush watercolor method utilized by scientific illustrators. Students study specimens on loan from the NC Museum of Natural Sciences and prints from the Audubon collection at the NCMA before creating works of art from photographs. All supplies are included. All skill levels welcome; ages 16 and up. Bring lunch if desired.
