We’re excited to welcome visitors back to a new Museum experience starting this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, October 8 and 9. Learn more about the free opening weekend celebration and see a full schedule of events celebrating the People’s Collection, reimagined. On Saturday, we anticipate parking to be at capacity throughout the day and encourage carpooling and/or alternative modes of transportation.

The Museum Lives in Me Book Launch

Come celebrate the launch of The Museum Lives in Me, the new children’s book written by Victoria Scott-Miller and illustrated by JP Jermaine Powell. Join us in the SECU Auditorium for a talk by the author, a reading of the story, and a talk by the illustrator.

The reading is followed by a reception and book signing at the Museum Store in West Building. You and your family can meet the author and artist, enjoy refreshments, and pick up a scavenger hunt that leads you on your own exploration of the Museum.

Please contact Angela.Lombardi@ncdcr.gov with any questions.
