The 14th-Century Venetian Painter’s Studio
Exhibition Related
Join artist Chris Holt in this workshop to explore the technique of egg tempera painting as executed by the Venetians. Participants prepare substrates of wood and paper as well as pigment colors in egg yolk and discuss the technique in the morning. In the afternoon they create a small work of art. Students leave with an understanding and the experience of making a painting just as it was done in 14th-century Venice.
