Teen Poetry Workshop with Jameela Dallis

Join writer-scholar Jameela F. Dallis to compose ekphrastic poems inspired by the Michael Richards: Are You Down? exhibition (on view until July 23). Ekphrasis means description in Greek, and these poems are often vivid descriptions of works of art.

Through grounding exercises, guided reflections, and writing prompts, participants respond to artworks, encountering their own creativity through language. Discussion and sharing are encouraged.

This workshop is open to all teens ages 13 –18 and to all experience levels. All materials are provided.
