Summer Films: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986). Directed by John Hughes, 103 min., PG-13

High schooler Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) takes a sick day and convinces his girlfriend Sloane and best friend Cameron to join him for fun and adventure in Chicago as they try to stay one step ahead of their principal and Ferris’s angry sister. “Here is a dream as old as adolescence, and it is fun to be reminded of its ageless potency, especially in a movie as good-hearted as this one.” (TIME)

Audio description for people who are blind or have low vision is provided for this film by Arts Access, Inc. Headsets are available at the Arts Access table just inside the Amphitheater entrance.
