Pedro Giraudo, bass/compositions/arrangements
About the artists
Latin Grammy Award winner, bassist, and composer Pedro Giraudo is among the most compelling tango artists today. Giraudo debuted his Tango Orchestra at Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing in July 2015 and since then has become an active cultural ambassador of this beautiful and passionate music of his native Argentina.
The ensemble consists of virtuoso instrumentalists who have played the main stages of the US, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Lincoln Center. The combination of Giraudo’s innovative compositions and arrangements, his interpretations of the great tango masters from Pugliese to Piazzolla, and impeccable musicianship make for an unusually appealing performance.
