About the artists
Concert pianist Mac McClure moved to Barcelona, Spain, in 1986 to study with Carlota Garriga at the prestigious Marshall Academy. Since 1991 he has worked closely with Alicia de Larrocha on the Spanish vocal repertory and Spanish solo repertory. He is also experienced in the standard repertory, such as Mozart, Chopin, and Ravel.
Colombian violinist Juan Carlos Higuita is a soloist, chamber musician and educator, and great connoisseur of the contemporary Latin American repertory. He is currently a professor of violin and chamber music at the National University of Colombia and the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. For nine years he was first violin of the Q-ARTE Quartet, one of the main quartets in Latin America.
