Secrets, Visions, and Mysteries: Creating Mixed-Media Narrative Artwork with Noelle Gunn
This class is conceptually inspired by the story of Esther. We explore symbolism, storytelling, and mixed-media materials to create an original narrative work of art. Students learn several mixed-media techniques using paint, drawing media, needle and thread, and transfers. Drawing and writing exercises are used to consider different ideas for symbolism and narrative.
The class encourages play and creative expression. All levels are welcome.
Class attendees have access to the exhibition The Book of Esther in the Age of Rembrandt.
