Due to unforeseen circumstances and expected inclement weather, the Watchhouse concert originally scheduled for Saturday, October 1, has been rescheduled to Friday, October 28. Tickets for the original date can be used for the rescheduled date; just present your ticket at the new event. Please note: West Building is now closed through October 7, 2022, to complete an exciting reinstallation of the People’s Collection. During this time enjoy free exhibitions on view in East Building, indoor and outdoor events and programming, and the 164-acre Museum Park. The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources and the North Carolina Museum of Art require studio program participants ages 13 and up to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 NAAT or PCR test result; test results must be within 72 hours of the event. Please plan to have one of these items in hand upon entry for Museum personnel.


Artist Ann Marie Kennedy guides participants through the process of making paper using local plant materials. Attendees can expect to bring home a small stack of handmade paper textured with local flora.

Please note: admission to Art in Bloom in West Building requires a separate entry ticket.

Please arrive early to allow time for parking and walking to East Building; we expect parking to be crowded.
