Performances for Young Audiences: Circle and Square
Join us at the Museum for our first-ever theater performance designed for children ages 2–5 and their caregivers. Please note: all adults and children over the age of 1 must purchase a ticket.
Circle and Square is a 30-minute interactive play about two very different shapes who learn how to get along. Meet free-spirited Circle and highly structured Square, two characters who have a hard time figuring out how to play together. Watch, move, and help Circle and Square discover how to have even more fun together than apart.
Presented by Small Is All Productions.
FAQs
How long is the show?
The performance runs approximately 30 minutes, with an opportunity following each show for the audience to meet the actors and explore the set and props.
What if my child is loud or can’t sit still during the performance?
That’s okay! Our actors are ready for a wide range of activity and engagement. While we ask that caregivers ensure their child is safe, we don’t expect stillness and silence from our young audience. In addition to planned moments of audience interaction, our actors are prepared to respond warmly to other spontaneous engagement. Rest assured that it is not uncommon for young audience members to wander through the playing space and/or talk during the performance. We are good with it!
Can we bring snacks?
You are welcome to bring snacks for your family, though we do ask that you keep them out of sight during the performance so that everyone can focus on the show and we can keep our space clean.
What’s the bathroom situation?
Family restrooms are available nearby throughout the show. Please come and go as you need during the performance.
