Penland at NCMA: Laura Wood

The Penland Gallery at Penland School of Craft exhibits work by an ever-changing collective of established and emerging artists who make sculptural and functional objects, conceptual and narrative work–representing the creativity that exists across the state of North Carolina.

December features Asheville jewelry designer and former Penland resident Laura Wood, who began exploring the human form through dance and made the transition from dance to ornamentation. Her earrings are currently available at the Museum Store. At this pop-up Wood speaks about her creative process and displays more of her product line.
