FBI informant William O’Neal (LaKeith Stanfield) infiltrates the Illinois Black Panther Party and is tasked with providing information on their charismatic leader, Chairman Fred Hampton (Daniel Kaluuya). O’Neal revels in the danger of manipulating both his comrades and his handler, Special Agent Roy Mitchell (Jesse Plemons). As Hampton’s political prowess and following grows, O’Neal gets closer to Hampton and begins to feel conflicted. Will he be part of the revolution or betray Hampton and the Black Panthers?
