The Museum is open with updated hours, Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm. Free timed tickets for the Museum collection galleries encourage social distancing, and increased health and safety procedures are in place. Following local ordinances, visitors are required to wear a mask inside all buildings, including restrooms and concession buildings. Online Course: Visual Literacy—Making Connections with Works of Art

This 10-hour course explores the relevance of visual literacy in the classroom and its connection to the North Carolina Essential Standards. Participants learn effective strategies to guide student discussions about works of art and create a portfolio of visual literacy activities based on the NCMA’s collection.
