NCMA Handbook Panel Discussion

This panel discussion focuses on the Museum’s new handbook, The People’s Collection, which shines a new light on museum culture and the influence art has on us all. The panel is moderated by NCMA director Valerie Hillings and features curators Lauren Applebaum and Lyle Humphrey and UNC–Chapel Hill professor and artist Lien Truong.

The People’s Collection is defined and distinguished by specific and interconnected areas of strength. We embrace its particularities as core to the NCMA’s identity even as we seek to reshape it. The discussion will highlight what the Museum strived for in the past and looks to do in the future regarding its collection and its community.
