The Museum is open with updated hours, Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm. Free timed tickets for the Museum collection galleries encourage social distancing, and increased health and safety procedures are in place. Following local ordinances, visitors are required to wear a mask inside all buildings, including restrooms and concession buildings. Music at the Museum featuring Lakota John

Join us as Lakota John performs virtually from the North Carolina Museum of Art! Lakota John is a musician, producer, and songwriter from southeastern North Carolina who has toured nationally and internationally. Influenced by his father’s music collection, he picked up the guitar at the age of seven. Lakota John blends elements of folk, jazz, rock, and blues to create his unique sound while continuing to learn alongside mentors.
