Mindful Museum: Virtual Sensory Journey through Art
Join us for a sensory journey to Africa while exploring Lines That Link Humanity by El Anatsui. We’ve partnered with Arts Access and On My Way Bartending to offer this special virtual experience intended for adults who are blind, low vision, or have a disability or learning need that would benefit from a sensory-style experience.
After a short guided meditation and audio description of the artwork, you will be invited to step into the sculpture with a mindful observation and discussion. Registration includes a small kit of sensory objects that participants will engage with during the observation. These will be mailed to registrants in advance. Captions will be provided.
Registration closes February 28, 2021. For ages 16 and up.
Take a sneak peek at one of the sensory kit items—On My Way Bartending specialty syrup—in a video of a cocktail collaboration inspired by Lines that Link Humanity. The cocktail and “mocktail” recipes will also be included.
