We’re reimagining the People’s Collection, and your favorites may be on the move. If you’re visiting to see a particular object, please email help@ncartmuseum.org to confirm it’s on view. Staff will respond as soon as possible during gallery hours, Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm.

Our Judaic, Rodin, Italian, Dutch and Renaissance, and Modern and Contemporary galleries will remain on view through May 29, 2022, along with a selection of works from the African arts collection. West Building will then close to the public, reopening October 8, 2022. Learn more about this exciting reinstallation project and related reopening celebrations.

Mindful Museum: Solstice Sunset Yoga

Celebrate the longest day of the year with a community yoga class as the sun sets over the Museum Park. In this 90-minute experience, taught by Raleigh-based yoga teacher and writer Andrea Rice, you can expect a mix of meditation and breath work, a gentle yoga asana practice for all levels and abilities, and journaling prompts for self-reflection to welcome and honor the coming season of abundance. The summer solstice is also the International Day of Yoga, marking an auspicious moment for finding stillness in the mind and body!

Bring a yoga mat and dress comfortably for movement and being outside. Optional: bring an item to place at the altar (that you will take back home). Ages 16 and up.
