Live from the Studio: Kelli Thompson
In this virtual demo, Kelli Thompson shows participants how to combine lines, shapes, and colors to create an abstract painting. We’ll use acrylic paints and dry brush technique to blend super smooth gradients and a ruler and tape to build a simple geometric composition with hard edges. We’ll practice color mixing and learn to work with tints to mimic light and depth within an abstract composition.

She received a BA in fine art from the University of New Orleans in 2006 and an MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston/Tufts University in 2009.
