Kuumba Community Drum Lab with Robert J. Corbitt III

Canceled

Whether you have always wanted to learn how to play West African drums, are a novice, or are looking for a place to practice your skills, djembe drum instructor Robert J. Corbitt III has created this class with you in mind.

Join Corbitt for a 50-minute class designed to cultivate your comfort on the djembe and dundun as well as expand your knowledge of African-originated rhythms and tempos that have spread throughout the African diaspora.

The class from noon—12:50 pm is for children living with autism spectrum disorder. Space is limited.

Please note: Corbitt holds this class at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA) in Winston-Salem on May 7, August 20, and November 5. For registration, visit secca.org.
