Juneteenth Joy: A Celebration of Freedom and Gospel Music—Kirk Franklin with Special Guest Maurette Brown Clark

The NCMA is thrilled to present the third Juneteenth Joy: A Celebration of Freedom and Gospel Music! This concert features 19-time Grammy-winning gospel music icon Kirk Franklin and his special guest, Stellar Award–winning songstress Maurette Brown Clark.

About Kirk Franklin
With a celebrated career spanning 30 years, Kirk Franklin continues to make a profound mark on the music industry. The songwriter, music producer, and television and film producer has successfully bridged the gap between gospel, R&B, hip-hop, and pop. It’s no doubt that Franklin’s God-given talent and deep faith have helped him remain the influential, relevant visionary he is today.

Franklin is back with his 13th and most personal and reflective album yet, titled Father’s Day (Fo Yo Soul). The album is a collection of 10 inspirational tracks with the constant theme of love, faith, and resilience flowing through them. Father’s Day is accompanied by a short film that provides deeper context for the album.

About Maurette Brown Clark
Multiple Stellar Award winner and Dove-nominated artist Maurette Brown Clark is one of the gospel music industry’s sweethearts. With four chart-topping albums, Clark remains true and authentic to her sound, grace, and call. With praise and worship anthems “I Just Want to Praise You” and “One God,” along with heartfelt ballads “I Want God” and “It Ain’t Over (Until God Says It’s Over),” she continues to encourage the hearts of listeners worldwide.

She is celebrating the release of her fifth project, He Loves Me, which includes a new version of her classic, now titled “I Just Wanna Praise You.”
