Jewish Film Series: Jews of the Wild West (2022)

Presented in connection with the exhibition Knowing the West, Jews of the Wild West is a feature-length documentary about resilience and identity in an unexpected place. The film tells a positive immigration story and highlights the dynamic contributions Jewish Americans made to the shaping of the western United States. The documentary was named Reader’s Choice “Best Western Documentary” by True West Magazine and nominated for the Best Social Impact Award by the Greenwich International Film Festival.

The screening includes remarks by special guests Amanda Kinsey, director, and Lauren Appelbaum, NCMA curator.
