We’re reimagining the People’s Collection, and your favorites may be on the move. If you’re visiting to see a particular object, please email help@ncartmuseum.org to confirm it’s on view. Staff will respond as soon as possible during gallery hours, Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm.

Our Judaic, Rodin, Italian, Dutch and Renaissance, and Modern and Contemporary galleries will remain on view through May 29, 2022, along with a selection of works from the African arts collection. West Building will then close to the public, reopening October 8, 2022. Learn more about this exciting reinstallation project and related reopening celebrations.

I ♥ Purim: 007 💎 Diamonds Are Forever

The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources and the North Carolina Museum of Art require all Patron Party participants to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 NAAT or PCR test result; test results must be within 72 hours of the event. Please plan to have one of these items and proof of identification in hand upon entry for Museum personnel.

Join the Friends of the Judaic Art Gallery for the NCMA’s 10th I ♥ Purim celebration. This year’s fundraiser is a covert assignment to benefit the Judaic Art Fund, themed around Ian Fleming’s fictional British secret agent—Bond, James Bond.

“M” (for Museum) has a secret mission. Sign up for this clandestine operation and go undercover, inspired by your favorite 007 movie. “M” needs your intelligence to meet our fundraising goals. Should you sign as an agent, you’ll be required to partake in hors d’oeuvres inspired by Bond movies, dance to music scores from 007 flicks, and perhaps imbibe cocktails (shaken, not stirred) in an act of Museum espionage to benefit the Judaic Art Fund.

Our quartermaster, “Q,” has made it easy to recruit you as an agent for the I ♥ Purim: 007 💎 Diamonds Are Forever mission. Just click the button to register, or go deeper undercover as an operative sponsor by contacting Billy Wilson at (919) 664-6824.
