Family Studio: A Creative Twist

The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources and the North Carolina Museum of Art require family program participants ages 13 and up to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 NAAT or PCR test result; test results must be within 72 hours of the event. Please plan to have one of these items in hand for Museum personnel upon entry.

Guided by expert artists, look closely at original works of art and find inspiration to create your own projects during these two-hour studio workshops.

Works of art in Break the Mold: New Takes on Traditional Art Making might make you do a double take. Explore the unexpected materials and surprising ideas on display in this exhibition and create your own mixed-media artwork that puts a new twist on an old idea.

All participants (children and adults) must have a ticket. Best for families with children ages 5 to 11.
