Due to unforeseen circumstances and expected inclement weather, the Watchhouse concert originally scheduled for Saturday, October 1, has been rescheduled to Friday, October 28. Tickets for the original date can be used for the rescheduled date; just present your ticket at the new event. Please note: West Building is now closed through October 7, 2022, to complete an exciting reinstallation of the People’s Collection. During this time enjoy free exhibitions on view in East Building, indoor and outdoor events and programming, and the 164-acre Museum Park. Earth Day Family Day

Celebrate Earth Day with the NCMA! Visitors of all ages can enjoy free access to the special exhibition Fault Lines: Art and the Environment, create eco-inspired hands-on art projects, and meet artists and environmentalists whose work impacts and preserves the natural beauty of our community.

Special activities include:

  • Free admission to Fault Lines. Walk-up tickets only, available at the East Building Ticket Desk. Capacity is limited.
  • Hands-on art-making activities in the Museum and Park that explore the environment and ecology of North Carolina’s mountains, piedmont, and ocean.
  • Family friendly exhibition tour (10:30—11 am). First come, first served. Capacity is limited.
  • ecoEXPLORE nature walks with NC Museum of Natural Sciences (10:30—11 am; 11 am—noon). First come, first served. Capacity is limited.
  • Kuumba Community Drum Circle with Robert J. Corbitt III (noon1 pm).

D­a familiar por el D­a de la Tierra

¡Celebre el D­a de la Tierra con el NCMA! Visitantes de todas las edades pueden acceder de forma gratuita a la exposici³n especial Fault Lines: Art and the Environment (L­neas de falla: arte y medio ambiente). Tambi©n pueden participar en proyectos pr¡cticos inspirados en la ecolog­a, encontrarse con artistas y ambientalistas cuyos trabajos generan un impacto y preservan la belleza natural de nuestra comunidad.

Entre las actividades especiales se encuentran las siguientes:

  • Admisi³n gratis a Fault Lines. Solo entradas sin reserva, disponibles en Entradas y membres­a (edificio Este). La capacidad es limitada.
  • Actividades pr¡cticas de creaci³n art­stica en el museo y el parque, que permiten explorar el medio ambiente y la ecolog­a de las monta±as, el Piamonte y el oc©ano de Carolina del Norte.
  • Visita guiada de la exposici³n para familias (de 10:30 a 11:00 am) Se atiende por orden de llegada. La capacidad es limitada.
