We’re excited to welcome visitors back to a new Museum experience starting this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, October 8 and 9. Learn more about the free opening weekend celebration and see a full schedule of events celebrating the People’s Collection, reimagined. On Saturday, we anticipate parking to be at capacity throughout the day and encourage carpooling and/or alternative modes of transportation.

Choreographers Spotlight Series, sponsored by Carolina Ballet

The second annual Choreographers Spotlight features original works by Ja’ Malik, Heather Maloy, Sokvannara Sar, and Willie Hinton.

The event begins with a master class with Carolina Ballet Artistic Director Zalman Raffael. The class is followed by a conversation with curating director Richard Glover; Moses T. Alexander Greene, Museum director of film and performing arts; and the guest choreographers before the original works are performed.
