Please note: Due to incoming inclement weather, the Big Thief concert has been postponed for 24 hours and will now take place this Thursday, September 23. All tickets will be honored, and gate and show times will remain the same. If you are unable to attend due to the date change, please email, and we will issue a 100 percent refund.

The Museum is open with updated hours, Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm. Free timed tickets for the Museum collection galleries encourage social distancing, and increased health and safety procedures are in place. Following local ordinances, visitors are required to wear a mask inside all buildings, including restrooms and concession buildings. For the safety of everyone, we ask that all outdoor event attendees wear masks both outdoors and indoors. Learn more about these updates at

Buskers’ Day

The NCMA welcomes select buskers from across the state to play music throughout the Museum Park.

Buskers are street performers who entertain in public spaces for gratuities. This practice is found all over the world and has existed for centuries. While busking takes many forms, this event is centered around music performances. Come enjoy a day in the Park with amazing talent!

For buskers interested in performing, apply for a spot here. Submissions are open through 11:59 pm on Wednesday, September 15. We will notify applicants on Monday, October 18, as to whether they’ve been granted a spot.
