Buskers Day 2025

Get ready for a vibrant afternoon of live music, movement, and creativity in every corner of our 164-acre Museum Park. Buskers Day is back and bigger than ever for 2025—celebrating the timeless art of street performance with North Carolina’s most talented buskers.

Stroll the Park and discover an eclectic lineup of musicians, dancers, and performers turning pathways into stages and open air into atmosphere. Whether you’re here to play or just soak it all in, this is the perfect day to experience art in motion.

Want to perform?
We’re welcoming buskers (musicians, dancers, and performers) from across the state! No registration, no permit fees—just show up, claim a spot, and share your craft.

  • Performance window: 1–5 pm
  • Designated busking zones throughout the Park are marked by folding chairs.
  • Spots are first come, first served; please be mindful of nearby performers and volume.
  • While performers won’t be paid by the NCMA, gratuity baskets are welcome and encouraged.

By performing at this event, buskers are agreeing to our terms that performances not include any hate speech or illicit content (must be family-friendly). The North Carolina Museum of Art reserves the right to review all content and to terminate a performance at any time.

While we leave site selection up to our buskers, we ask that you stay away from tall grass, look out for ant hills, and remain eight feet away from all artwork.
