We’re reimagining the People’s Collection, and your favorites may be on the move. If you’re visiting to see a particular object, please email help@ncartmuseum.org to confirm it’s on view. Staff will respond as soon as possible during gallery hours, Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm.

Our Judaic, Rodin, Italian, Dutch and Renaissance, and Modern and Contemporary galleries will remain on view through May 29, 2022, along with a selection of works from the African arts collection. West Building will then close to the public, reopening October 8, 2022. Learn more about this exciting reinstallation project and related reopening celebrations.

Bee Downtown Scavenger Hunt

Celebrate National Pollinator Week with our partners at Bee Downtown. Participate in a family friendly scavenger hunt in search of pollinator-themed clues and prizes throughout the Museum Park.

To participate:

  • Come anytime during the two-hour period to Bee Downtown’s table at the Ellipse to obtain the QR code that links to the 10 scavenger hunt clues.
  • Go hunting all over the Museum Park in search of clue locations, where you will find prize vouchers.
  • If a prize is still available at a given clue location, there will be a laminated prize voucher staked to the ground. Bring it back to the Bee Downtown table to claim your prize.
  • If there is only a QR code left on the ground, you can scan it to confirm the prize has already been claimed (leave the QR code there).
  • If a prize has already been claimed at a clue location, keep looking until you find one! Prizes are limited and awarded based on who finds them first.
  • While you’re here, learn more about pollinators and taste some honey!

Scavenger Hunt rules:

  • Try your best not to Google answers. Explore the Museum Park, and we promise you will have all the clues you need along the way to find a prize.
  • When you find a prize, please tag @beedowntown, @ncartmuseum, and #NCMAbuzz if you use social media.
  • Only one prize will be awarded per group/family.
