Artistic Insights: Studio Visit with Katie Knoeringer

In this new prerecorded video series, we bring the studio directly to you, offering an exclusive opportunity to discover the creative processes of renowned artists. After each demonstration we delve deeper into the artist’s world with a curated Q&A session. Although prerecorded, these sessions are designed to provide a sense of real-time interaction, allowing you to explore your questions and curiosities about the artist’s craft.

In this episode we invite you into the enchanting world of Katie Knoeringer, an artist whose work transcends traditional boundaries. She is a master of capturing the truth of the moment—the play of shadows, the shapes of people, and the intriguing negative spaces around them. Knoeringer literally takes her art to the streets, walking and riding her bike to connect deeply with her local environment and infuse her work with the idiosyncrasies she encounters. Join us as she reveals the evolution of her practice and demonstrates her technique. Originally from New Jersey, Knoeringer now calls Kentucky home and shares her passion for drawing as a teacher at Murray State University.
