An Homage to Ancient Egypt

The North Carolina Museum of Art and the UNC Charlotte Department of Dance presents “An Homage to Ancient Egypt” in four live performances at the NCMA on Sunday, April 25. Specially commissioned to accompany the Museum’s exhibition Golden Mummies of Egypt, the work features six UNC Charlotte dance students in choreography by professor Delia Neil. The dance movement, projection and lighting design, and costume design were inspired by art and artifacts from ancient Egypt, with a score of both traditional and contemporary Egyptian music.

“An Homage to Ancient Egypt” will be performed at 10:45 am, 11:45 am, 1:45 pm, and 2:45 pm.
