Film Screening and Panel Discussion: Alice Street
In a rapidly gentrifying city, the construction of a luxury condominium threatens a local mural, forcing the artists and a neighborhood to rally to protect the neighborhood’s history, voice, and land.
Join us for a film that celebrates the power of community voice manifested through the creation of public art. The film is followed by a panel discussion with City of Raleigh public art stakeholders and artists who have experienced and worked to address the rapidly shifting look of Raleigh’s public spaces while honoring legacies that might otherwise be erased. We want your voices to be part of the discussion.
