The Museum is open with updated hours, Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm. Following local ordinances, visitors are required to wear a mask inside all buildings, including restrooms and concession buildings, and at outdoor events. For some events participants ages 13 and up must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 NAAT or PCR test result; test results must be within 72 hours of the event. Check individual event pages to see if this applies; at this time it is not required for gallery, exhibition, tour, or Park visits. Learn more at ncartmuseum.org/covid19.

FilmS

NCMA film programming consists of classic and contemporary short and feature-length films across genres, countries, and languages. The films we show promote diversity, represent the communities we serve, complement the Museum’s exhibitions and collection, and inspire, encourage dialogue, and promote a sense of belonging.

NCMA Cinema

NCMA Cinema is back! This fall join us in the East Building’s SECU Auditorium for a series of films inspired by the exhibition To Be Young: Coming of Age in the Contemporary. These films span genres, countries, and languages and evoke the universality of coming-of-age stories and experiences.

NCMA Film Club

The virtual NCMA Film Club was created in 2020 to allow film lovers to continue to engage in dialogue from the comfort and safety of their homes. Although films were not watched communally during meetings, the club provided an intimate space to discuss diverse and thought-provoking films with featured special guests.

Summer Films

Outdoor films at the NCMA are back! Come experience big-screen movie magic under the stars at the Joseph M. Bryan, Jr., Theater in the Museum Park. This summer enjoy movies and musicals that will make you nostalgic for decades past. Let yourself be transported back in time to the moment you first experienced these classic films.
