The String Queens: Valentine’s Day at the NCMA

2:00 PM

Overview

Chamber Music Raleigh’s popular Sights & Sounds on Sundays series brings some of today’s most compelling musicians to the North Carolina Museum of Art’s intimate and acoustically exceptional SECU Auditorium. Each concert offers a close-up, thoughtfully curated experience where excellent artists, distinctive programs, and the energy of live performance come together.

About the artists
Back in NC by popular demand, the String Queens are a dynamic Washington, DC–based trio celebrated for their soulful, orchestral sound and genre-spanning programs that move effortlessly from baroque and jazz to contemporary popular music. The ensemble has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center, appeared in the 2021 We Are One Presidential Inauguration Concert, and presented its arrangement of Harry Styles’s “Golden” for Wimbledon. Their acclaimed album RISE, supported by a Sphinx Organization MPower Artist Grant, reflects the trio’s mission to inspire audiences through music rooted in hope, joy, peace, and love.
